One in four dying Americans is a veteran. Hospice of South Texas is a registered Level Two Partner in the We Honor Veterans program developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

As a We Honor Veterans partner, Hospice of South Texas provides respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgement to our veteran patients. Our hospice team of professionals and volunteers provide comprehensive physical, medical, emotional, and spiritual care to veterans and their families during end stage illness, death and bereavement.
